The Cottage, Wishford
Believed to have built in the C16 the old parts had been modernised around the timber framed structure.
.
Some of the oak timbers had housed some smaller residents. Their exit holes are mainly now refurbished with wax and saw dust!
This wall had a repoint and lime slurry inplace of conventional flat plaster.
The previous fireplace didn't quite look right in the setting - concrete blocks were disguising a large fireplace with a very large bread oven evidenced off to the left about 4 foot radius
What used to be the side of the cottage, now a washroom backdrop with wattle and daub structure still apparent.
